Leeds Festival - Fringe Event launched

The city of Leeds is set to host a Leeds Festival Fringe event in August to coincide with Leeds 2010.While Reading Festival has had a fringe event for a number of years, the same has not been true of its northern counterpart Leeds (although we did operate the Unsigned / BBC Introducing Stage for a couple of years before they eventually caught on).Well times have changed as the Leeds Festival Fringe 2010 event has been revealed.

The fringe event is set to run for 7 nights from 19th August to 25th August, allowing fans to head over to Bramham Park afterwards for the festival proper. So far, two venues in the city are lined up to play a part in the festival fringe action: Carpe Diem and Royal Park Cellars.In addition to the pre-festival events, an extra night on Monday 30th August is expected to be run for all Leeds Festival fans who are still in the city and still in the party mood!
